Some of my flute creations may be seen below....

These flutes are deceptively tricky to make! They seem so simple at first! How hard can it be, right? You "blow" in one end and music flows out the other, right? Heheh, well, it turns out very small changes have very large effects. Crafting them is a subtle art. Crafting them well so they are pleasing to the hand and eye, offer a loving tone, and are able to reach above the basic pentatonic scale is indeed challenging. But I enjoy the process. And each piece of wood is different, with its own character and qualities. I find the process extremely interesting and a rewarding accomplishment, always offering new opportunities to learn.

Clicking on an image will take you to a separate page providing more information about that flute.

Please note, while I admire much of the Native American culture, I am not a Native American Indian.
So far as I know, my bloodlines are 100% European, including Welsh, English, Scottish, Irish, Holland, and German... along with a number of unknowns, I'm sure. One may properly refer to me as an European-American Mutt ;^) Although, in truth, I consider myself an American, not an European-American. My mother's bloodlines here in North America pre-date the American Revolution and my great-great-grandfather on my father's side was a circuit preacher in Kansas around 1900.
